CIO 100 Award
The City of Virginia Beach was selected as a 2024 CIO 100 award winner, a recognition of strategic and operational excellence in information technology, for its Flood Model Visualization and Exposure Tool.
Smart Cities North America Award
The City of Virginia Beach was recognized with IDC Government Insights’ Smart Cities North America Award (SCNAA) in the Smart Water category for FloodVISION-AI (Flood Visual Inference of Stage Identification by Observation Networks – Artificial Intelligence). Winners of the SCNAA illustrate best practice examples of how forward-thinking municipalities are effectively leveraging technology and innovation to offer sustainable new services and economic opportunities and to meet the needs and expectations of their diverse communities.
